Class Policies

KoreanLearnin Class Policy

This policy applies to all of KoreanLearnin's classes, including but not limited to: 6-week programs, continuing student Academy membership, community spaces, and related services.

By enrolling in a KoreanLearnin class, program, membership, or service, students acknowledge and agree to this Class Policy, along with our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.

Enrollment Agreement

Enrollment reserves a student’s spot in a specific class. Because class space and scheduling are arranged in advance, all students are responsible for reviewing the class schedule, level, policies, and program details before purchasing.

By completing enrollment, students agree that they are purchasing access to the program, class schedule, and learning materials as described at the time of purchase.

Missed Classes, Refunds, and Credits

As stated in our Refund Policy, KoreanLearnin does not provide refunds, credits, prorated adjustments, or make-up credits for missed, unused, or unattended classes.

Missed classes are not refundable or creditable regardless of the reason for absence, including but not limited to:

  • Vacation or travel

  • Work or school conflicts

  • Illness

  • Forgetting to attend class

  • Personal scheduling conflicts

  • Technology issues on the student's end

  • Not using Discord, homework, class materials, or other provided resources

  • Choosing not to continue after enrollment

Students are responsible for attending the classes they enrolled in and for communicating scheduling issues as early as possible.

Attendance Records

KoreanLearnin maintains attendance records for class participation and redo eligibility.

Attendance is based on KoreanLearnin’s records, including teacher attendance logs, platform records, communication history, and other internal documentation.

Students who arrive late, leave early, or attend only a small portion of class may not receive full attendance credit for that class, at KoreanLearnin’s discretion.

Late Arrival Policy

Students are expected to arrive on time for class. If a student arrives late, the teacher may not be able to repeat missed material, extend class time, or provide individual catch-up instruction during the scheduled class.

Late arrivals do not qualify for refunds, credits, prorated adjustments, or free make-up classes.

Free Redo Eligibility

Students may qualify for ONE free redo of the same level only if they attended at least 4 out of 6 scheduled classes in their original program.

The free redo is intended for students who actively participated in the program but would benefit from additional review. Attendance is based on KoreanLearnin’s attendance records.

To qualify for a free redo:

  1. The student must have attended at least 4 of the 6 scheduled classes.

  2. The redo must be for the same class level.

  3. The redo is subject to class availability and scheduling.

  4. The redo has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, or different service.

  5. KoreanLearnin may deny a redo request if the student did not meet the attendance requirement or did not participate in good faith.

Students who attended fewer than 4 out of 6 classes are NOT eligible for a free redo.

Redo Option for Students Who Do Not Meet the Free Redo Requirement

Students who do not qualify for a free redo but would still like to repeat or review class material may enroll as a continuing student in our Tuesday continuing classes for $50/month.

This option allows students to continue practicing, reviewing, and receiving support without needing to repurchase the full 6-week program.

A representative will reach out to the student after the 6-week program has ended and offer the option to enroll. Students are then responsible for enrolling in the continuing student option if they would like additional review after missing multiple classes.

Class Transfer Policy

KoreanLearnin understands that sometimes a selected class time may not work for a student’s schedule. Although we do not provide refunds or credits for missed classes, we may arrange a ONE TIME transfer to another class of the same level if the scheduling issue is communicated early.

Students may request a free transfer only if they notify KoreanLearnin within the first 2 scheduled classes.

To qualify for a free transfer:

  1. The student must contact KoreanLearnin within the first 2 scheduled classes.

  2. The transfer must be to another class of the same level.

When a student qualifies for a free transfer, KoreanLearnin will offer the student any currently available class times for the same level. If none of the available class times work for the student, KoreanLearnin may keep the student’s transfer request on file and contact the student when additional class options become available.

Once a free transfer is approved, the transfer does not expire. However, transfer placement remains subject to class availability, level availability, scheduling, and operational capacity.

A free transfer has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, membership credit, or different service.

A transfer does not restart the refund period, create a new refund right, or convert missed classes into monetary credits. Transfers are offered as a scheduling courtesy only.

No Retroactive Transfers, Credits, or Redos

KoreanLearnin does not provide retroactive refunds, credits, transfers, or free redos after a student has missed classes without timely communication.

Students are responsible for contacting KoreanLearnin promptly (within the first 2 classes) if they believe their class time, level, or schedule will not work for them.

Requests made after the transfer window, after multiple missed classes, or after the program has ended will be denied.

Class Level and Placement

Students are responsible for reviewing the class level description before enrolling.

If a student believes they enrolled in the wrong level, they must contact KoreanLearnin as early as possible. KoreanLearnin may assist with placement guidance, but level changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

A student’s opinion that a class is too easy, too difficult, or not the preferred learning style does not automatically qualify the student for a refund, credit, redo, or transfer.

KoreanLearnin may recommend a different level or class placement when appropriate, but final placement decisions are at KoreanLearnin’s discretion.

Class Size and Enrollment

Class sizes may vary depending on enrollment, attendance, transfers, and student continuation.

KoreanLearnin may run classes with fewer students than originally expected. A smaller or larger class size than expected does not qualify a student for a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, or free redo.

Teacher Substitutions

KoreanLearnin may reassign or substitute teachers when needed due to operational reasons.

Teacher changes or substitutions do not qualify a student for a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, transfer, or free redo.

KoreanLearnin will make reasonable efforts to maintain class continuity and quality when teacher changes occur.

Class Rescheduling by KoreanLearnin

If KoreanLearnin must cancel or reschedule a class due to teacher illness, emergency, technical issues, scheduling conflicts, holidays, or other circumstances, KoreanLearnin will make reasonable efforts to provide one of the following:

  • A rescheduled class or extra week of class

  • A substitute teacher

  • An alternative class option

  • Another reasonable solution at KoreanLearnin’s discretion

A class rescheduled by KoreanLearnin does not automatically qualify for a refund, credit, or prorated adjustment when one of the alternatives above is provided.

Scheduled Classes and Non-Attendance

If a class is held as scheduled, the class will count as one completed week of the program, even if one student, multiple students, or all enrolled students do not attend. A student’s absence, or the absence of all students in a scheduled class, does not cancel the class week and does not create eligibility for a refund, credit, make-up class, transfer, redo, prorated adjustment, or extension.

The only standard exception is when class is not held due to a public holiday or when KoreanLearnin cancels or reschedules the class. In those cases, KoreanLearnin may provide a rescheduled class, adjusted schedule, substitute option, or other reasonable solution at KoreanLearnin’s discretion.

Students are responsible for attending their scheduled classes. Failure to attend a scheduled class, whether individually or as a group, does not pause, extend, or restart the 6-week program.

Student Technology Requirements

Students are responsible for having the technology needed to participate in class, including a stable internet connection, working device, microphone, and access to any required platforms such as Discord, Zoom, homework platforms, or other class tools.

Technology issues on the student’s end do not qualify for refunds, credits, prorated adjustments, free redos, or make-up classes.

Students should contact KoreanLearnin promptly if they need help accessing class platforms or materials.

Discord, Homework, and Platform Access

KoreanLearnin may use Discord, homework platforms, online textbooks, class dashboards, or other digital tools as part of the learning experience.

Students are responsible for checking provided platforms, announcements, homework, and messages for class announcements and information.

Failure to use or check the provided platforms does not qualify the student for a refund, credit, redo, or transfer.

KoreanLearnin may update and/or replace platforms when needed to improve the student experience or manage operations.

Class Materials and Online Textbook

Class materials, homework, recordings, textbooks, platform access, and other resources are for the enrolled student’s personal educational use only.

Students may not copy, distribute, share, sell, upload, reproduce, or publicly post KoreanLearnin materials without written permission.

Online textbooks, digital materials, and accessed resources are non-refundable once accessed.

Recordings

KoreanLearnin does not guarantee that all live classes will be recorded. When recordings are provided, they are offered as a courtesy and may be subject to availability, expiration, platform limitations, or technical issues.

Failure to watch recordings or access provided resources does not qualify the student for a refund, credit, or prorated adjustment.

Students may not record classes without KoreanLearnin’s written permission.

Communication Policy

Students are responsible for contacting KoreanLearnin through the official communication channels provided.

KoreanLearnin may send important class information by email, text message, Discord, or other communication methods provided during enrollment.

Students are responsible for checking their messages and ensuring their contact information is accurate.

Failure to read announcements, reminders, emails, texts, or in-app messages does not qualify the student for a refund, credit, redo, or transfer.

Continuing Student (Academy) Membership

Continuing student (Academy) membership is available for students who want ongoing review and practice after their original 6-week program.

The continuing student option is separate from the original 6-week program and is billed at the stated monthly rate.

Continuing student membership does not create retroactive refunds, credits, or free redos for missed classes from a previous program.

Payment Issues and Failed Payments

Students are responsible for ensuring that their payment method is valid and that payments are completed on time.

If a payment fails, KoreanLearnin may restrict access to classes, platforms, homework, Discord, materials, or continuing student benefits until the payment issue is resolved.

Repeated failed payments, disputed payments, reversed payments, or payment abuse may result in suspension or termination of access.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Students are encouraged to contact KoreanLearnin directly if they have a concern about their enrollment, class access, billing, transfer eligibility, redo eligibility, or membership.

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute does not cancel a membership, create a refund right, or override KoreanLearnin’s policies.

KoreanLearnin reserves the right to provide enrollment records, attendance records, platform access records, communication history, policy screenshots, purchase confirmations, and other relevant documentation when responding to payment disputes.

Accounts with active payment disputes may have class, membership, platform, Discord, homework, or material access restricted while the dispute is being reviewed.

Student Conduct and Membership Termination

KoreanLearnin is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.

KoreanLearnin reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate a student’s access to classes, memberships, Discord, homework platforms, community spaces, or other services at our discretion if the student violates our policies or behaves in a way that disrupts the learning environment.

Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation

  • Disrespectful, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language

  • Sexual comments or inappropriate conduct toward students, teachers, or staff

  • Repeated disruption of class

  • Refusal to follow reasonable teacher or staff instructions

  • Sharing login details, class materials, recordings, textbooks, or paid resources without permission

  • Misuse of community spaces, Discord, homework platforms, or class resources

  • Fraudulent activity, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, or repeated policy violations

  • Any behavior KoreanLearnin determines to be unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful to the learning community

If a membership or class access is terminated due to misconduct, policy violations, payment abuse, or inappropriate behavior, the student is not entitled to a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, free redo, or transfer, unless otherwise required by law.

Community Space Access

Access to KoreanLearnin community spaces, including Discord or other group platforms, is a student benefit and may be restricted, moderated, or removed at KoreanLearnin’s discretion.

Students are expected to communicate respectfully with teachers, staff, and other students.

Community access may be removed for inappropriate behavior, misuse, repeated complaints, payment issues, or policy violations.

Removal from a community platform due to misconduct or policy violations does not qualify the student for a refund, credit, prorated adjustment, transfer, or free redo.

Good Faith Participation

KoreanLearnin expects students to participate in good faith by attending class, reviewing provided materials, communicating respectfully, and contacting staff early if they need help.

KoreanLearnin is not responsible for a student’s lack of participation, lack of preparation, failure to complete homework, failure to attend, or failure to use provided resources.

Learning outcomes vary by student and depend on attendance, participation, practice, study habits, and consistency. KoreanLearnin does not guarantee fluency, specific test results, or specific learning outcomes from enrollment alone.

Policy Updates and Final Decision

KoreanLearnin may update this Class Policy, Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, or related policies when needed.

KoreanLearnin reserves the right to make final decisions regarding redo eligibility, transfer approval, continuing student enrollment, class placement, platform access, student conduct, and membership termination.

Policies are applied based on enrollment records, attendance records, communication history, payment status, platform access records, and student conduct.

By enrolling, students agree that they have reviewed and accepted this policy, along with KoreanLearnin’s Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
